Where Are 6 Arrows On Wii I Spy

Piero Andrea-Palladio-was born in Padua in 1508. The son of a miller, by the thirteen years he began as an apprentice with an architect and engraver, and had already been spent on study d 'architecture, after he was accepted into the guild of masons.
In 1538 was the first meeting with Count Giangiorgio Trissimo, which will become a distinguished humaniste his patron, who also helped him in 'entry to the aristocratic circles of Vicenza, the fact that it was essential to find assignments of projects' architecture. This extraordinary man gave him a great help to make a study of 'contemporary architecture and Roman, and together they made two trips to Rome to further his knowledge, and even baptized him according to the goddess Pallas Palladium Atenea patron of the arts. In 1540 he obtained the professional title of 'architect.
Its activities include the villas of the Veneto, the 'religious architecture of the palaces of Venice and Vicenza. This

Palazzo della Ragione, also known by the name of Basilica, is located in Piazza dei Signori in Vicenza. A first 's eye we see a building so transparent, that we do not know where it ends where it begins and built the square, an 'inter-foreign-procedure. It is a clean formed by the repetitions in horizontal and vertical alignment of a serliana that a large central arch with two other openings to the architrave lesser sides. Repetitions, however, this does not do a 'bare work, it clears the setting a pace and lets you breathe becoming an urban building in the sense of its successful integration into the square. But this
serliana-called after-Palladian Palladio reason was plain. His genius was to add depth in double columns inside the lodges, making it a special wall full of space.

Around to 'ancient building of the Palazzo della Ragione, Palladio designed these beautiful lodges, and ciara is perceived as the sides of the roof does not rest on them. Its construction had a long and complicated history that begins with 's use of the old palace of the XV century, after the purpose of making an arcade in the ground floor overlooking the square. Various consultations were made to the famous architects of 'era.

We end here with an invitation for a walk to the Piazza dei Signori in Vicenza, walk on the lodges and even a coffee ...

18th Birthday Announcement

Brunelleschi Santa Maria del Fiore

This is the story of the construction of the dome of Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral in Florence, beautiful and famous work of Filippo Brunelleschi (1377-1446), already regarded by his contemporaries as the 'greatest architect from' antiquity, famous for finding the solution to the seemingly insoluble problem of the dome. It was celebrated as the innovation to have passed the model of the Pantheon in Rome on a large octagon have a bow pinned to a hundred feet high and twenty meters radio, dual roof.

became the implementer of human genius idea from its predecessors, with the original idea is from 'year 1367. It is a combination of 'engineering and aesthetic principles of ancient and modern. In 1404 you advice Brunelleschi but only several years after he began to think in the problem. This octagon was so great and had a long and tough wood to make the rib (the mold).

So do studies of the construction methods of the Romans (this did not use the ribs) and even the depths of a 'single comprehensive building retains all: the Pantheon in Rome, even use the Gothic tradition. Well could cover the forty-meter diameter dome without rib in the Roman manner, and using the Gothic manner twenty-four nerves. For the construction created many effective auxiliary machinery essential to put in place the four million bricks weighing thirty-seven thousand tons needed for the dome.

Brunelleschi receives different influences both construction and aesthetic. But the important thing was to create by himself, he placed his first work in conscious opposition to all the existing, although I think that refreshed the 'ancient art, but had created new human! This artwork was very large to be exceeded by now: the first was to be burnished and to that end he dedicated his life with a lot of work.

Eventually this process of construction is an 'era, an' other way of life, another time. Today we talk of "real time" thinking obsessively in the production and consumption. It can be difficult to understand how this man, engineer and artist -With love and courage, he spent twenty years by instituting cover the diameter of the dome, which turned out successfully and with such beauty.

TICINO Mario Botta

L 'architect Mario Botta was born in Mendrisio, Switzerland in 1943, he learned to design in the study of Tita Carloni, after he graduated from the faculty of architecture of 'University of Venice. On a hill north of Pregassona Lugano (Ticino), we find this house as the prototype svilupatto by Botta, a compact solid, although torn by deep grooves that reveal the interior layout.

is a simple shape: a cube, shows the poverty of the bare materials, the 'complete absence of any decoration. It is 1979 and also the 'last twelve designed in the twenties of 1961-1981.
plants are balanced and rational. This is reflected in the four-sided symmetrical-even with the large windows sometimes lag behind the walls, where the light comes and we can say these are the 'unique decoration along with the skylight in the face, who has become a leitmotif of opere.Nel its ground floor there is the 'entrance, staircase and two rooms of service in the first floor kitchen, dining room, lounge with fireplace and bathroom; finally in the second floor bedroom bed, the children's room, two balconies, a closet and the bathroom.

We see here the 'homes of great value Botta with the landscape, and even finger in his thought: "the territory in dialogue with their architecture on a continuous basis as the changing of time and history. A misunderstanding that periodically resurfaces in the evaluation of the relationship between architecture and 'environment' s idea that makes any architectural intervention novo an alleged superiority of the values of existing environment ... I believe that this attitude rather than expressing sensitivity and attention to existing values, expressed fear and distrust nova to every expression.
Contrary to this attitude I think we should simply accept the 'evidence of the facts and, once recognized the legitimacy of' intervention, the same place as the centerpiece of a new transformation. In this case the 'architecture qualifies as a tool for construction of a new equilibrium where the existing values will be assumed not to be defended or protected, but to be interpreted as values in new and projected needs ... "This book is a

example of how beauty can do with few resources: blocks of cement, glass, metal and even light that uses a different material to build, these are the elements of his poetry.

RENZO PIANO: MUSEUM MENIL

Renzo Piano was born in Genoa in 1937, famous for his design for the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and graduated in Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano. He works worldwide with 50 employees in three studies of Architecture in Genoa, Paris and Osaka. His
Museum for the Menil Collection (Houston / USA, 1987), is a volumen d 'steel, glass and wood two-story, 122 meters long in putting down thin pillars. This is a simple and rational. The ground floor rooms have all the 's exposure, and in the upper Treasure House where the 'access is restrictive only in the company of a guide. Never show the public all the 'acervo' s works, at most 200. L 'building has a cellar for storage, and large rooms where they make the restoration of works of' art.

L 'building is a brilliant combination of modern techniques with the' post-war American architecture, and also with the 'traditional urbanism of small U.S. cities.
The heart of the project are the 300 leaves of a ferrocement Polleca who are thick wall of a metal structure. The sun enters indirectly protecting the works of 'art, which are in the best conditions of humidity, temperature and intensity of light. We also have a 'appoggiatura facilities: air conditioning and Artificial Lighting.

The Menil Collection is one of the most prestigious in the world, and is composed of primitive African art and surrealist art: stone sculptures, wood carvings, paintings, carpets, etc.
Let 's interest in Renzo Piano for the project for its construction, the artisan that it likes: he designed the molds for the construction of ferrocement these leaves, believing updated to a craftsman with modern computer. It is also a successful insertion of the museum in the district due to the external finish of wood and the low height of the 'building, being a residential area.
Another objective was to create a space that would be easy and relaxed the direct relationship between visitors el 'works of' art, not a monumental surroundings, the integrated nature of its tropical gardens. It will be a pleasant experience to make a Stroll enjoying the 'Art in touch with nature.

Lina Bo Bardi: THE MASP

are the 'architect Robert J. Stener, an Italian citizen: My great grandfather arrived in Montevideo in 1898 with his wife Antonia to work the land. I begin this conversation with the Museum of Architecture Art of Sao Paulo 1957 - 1968 (the MASP) 's Arch Lina Bo Bardi, born in Rome in 1951, graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the' University of Rome.

This beautiful building is truly a postcard of the city, and the best way to know and let us walk by taking our time, and perhaps understand how it fits perfectly in the landscape. There is hanging in the air of two red arcades, but structurally they are not talking about two porches: four great pillars on which four support beams. The various panels of the roof support beams on both coverage and there are also two other beams which relies on another plate, and even these roof beams is a second concrete slab.

have to walk to the level of 'Av.Paulista to see the city, this is the Belvedere, which is the meeting point for citizens. If we go up the stairs get to the first floor where there are art exhibitions and there 's administration. Higher still reach the second floor where there is a picture gallery. Belvedere we go down the ladder and get to the first underground where there is a theater, an auditorium and more exposure, here we can get a double-wide ramp and reach the second ground: it is the Town Hall where there are the restaurant, the library and a body of 'water.

The purpose of
Lina: "What needs to be a museum? A mound of famous mummies? A deposit of human works ... already obsolete to be administered with a sense of pity? New museums have opened their doors to ' clean air, the new light. It is in this social sense that is specifically geared towards the MASP mass uninformed, non-intellectual: the end of the museum is to form a 'to create atmosphere in the visitors to understand the mindset adatatta' Art, in this sense does not make any distinction between ancient and modern art. " So this is his crusade: "how to learn to live the 'art, to understand it."
